Samsung LCD TV Media player - Series 5 - some MKV files do not play - Video codec not supported error

This could be because the .h264 video stream was encoded using Advanced Video Codec with format Level greater than 4.1. The samsung media player usually checks for the codec level and if it is outside the compatible range it simply refuses to play.

Though the codec format level is more recent, it still might play on our device. To resolve, you would need to change the .h264 level id to 4.1 (or lesser value). H264LevelEditor is a simple tool to help you change this id value without needing to recode the video files.

Try this at your own risk and make sure you back up your file before experimenting.

Enjoy ! - this worked for me.

No Sound after resume from Windows 7

If you are experiencing problem of no sound after resume from sleep on Windows 7 - x64 try this fix:
A) Open control panel
b) Go to sounds and manage sound devices
c) Under the playback tab, right click on your usual line out - disable and then re-enable.

This fixed things for me. Sure beats needing to reboot.

BTW, I had this issue with a M-audio audiophile 2496 sound card.
